Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Engineering Intern in Houston. The role involves applying standard engineering techniques, assisting lead engineers, and supporting design updates across market areas such as Power, Oil, Gas & Chemical, and Transmission & Distribution.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering, with ABET accreditation preferred, and are in good academic standing. A 3.0 GPA and campus involvement are strongly favored, with full-time hours onsite in US-TX-Houston.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Currently enrolled in a related post-secondary program.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Active campus/community involvement encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, and documentation.
• Assist with responses to general questions.
• Participate in data collection and analysis for continuous improvement.
• Present solutions to project concerns.
• Research solutions and recommend approaches to problems.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
