Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Engineering Intern in California to apply standard engineering techniques across markets. You will assist lead engineers with design tasks, data entry, documentation, and presentations as part of a dynamic team.

The role emphasizes hands-on project work, analysis, and growth within the field. A minimum 3.0 GPA is strongly preferred, ABET accreditation is a plus, and you must be legally authorized to work in the United States full-time.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Currently enrolled and in good standing in related program.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Prior internship or related consulting experience preferred.
• Active campus/community involvement encouraged.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation, and presentations.
• Support responses to general questions and ad hoc projects.
• Collect and analyze data for continuous improvement.
• Present solutions to project concerns.
• Research and recommend solutions to problems.
• Perform duties assigned by managers.
