Job summary

IMEG is seeking a Electrical Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in Greenwood Village, CO. This 10–12 week paid internship offers hands-on design, documentation, and project delivery experience under the guidance of experienced engineers.

You will work on commercial and institutional projects, supporting cross-disciplinary coordination and client communications. Ideal candidates are pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering with at least 2 years completed, and have exposure to CAD/BIM and MS

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards a BS in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong interest in design consulting.
• Previous exposure to CAD and/or BIM software.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design portions of electrical systems projects according to code and IMEG standards.
• Assist with researching commercially available equipment and resources.
• Assist with client relations, project design notebook documentation, and permanent record files.
• Assist with coordinating design and schedule with other disciplines such as architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical and equipment suppliers.
• Assist with documenting design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring project design progress.
• Assist with reviewing project documents for accuracy and completeness prior to requesting a final check.
• Assist with preparing and issuing addendum information.
• Conduct periodic job site observations and all other services as required by the contract services agreement.
