Job summary

IMEG Corporation in Freeport, ME is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for a 10-12 week summer program. You will work with engineers on design analysis, documentation, and site observations.

This paid internship provides mentorship, hands-on project work, and a path to potential full-time roles. You will gain exposure to AutoCAD, Revit, SKM, and AGi32 while collaborating across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards a BS in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong interest in design consulting and coding basics.
• Exposure to CAD/BIM tools such as AutoCAD or Revit.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Clear communication skills, both oral and written.
• Preferred: prior building-design internship experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design portions of electrical systems per code and standards.
• Research commercially available equipment resources.
• Support client relations, project notebooks, and records.
• Coordinate design and schedules across disciplines.
• Document design decisions and meetings; monitor progress.
• Prepare addendum information and review documents.
• Conduct periodic on-site observations per contract.
