Job summary

IMEG Corp is offering an Electrical Engineering Intern position in Greenwood Village, CO. The role focuses on assisting with electrical systems design, analysis, and documentation for built environments.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams and gain exposure to CAD/BIM tools within a 10–12 week summer program. Qualified candidates are pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering with at least two years completed, and possess strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards a BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong interest in design consulting.
• Previous exposure to CAD and/or BIM software.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication.
• Preferred: Prior internship experience in the building design consulting industry.

Responsibilities

• Assist with engineering analysis, design, and implementation oversight of electrical systems in buildings.
• Assist with design portions of projects according to code and IMEG standards.
• Research commercially available equipment and resources.
• Support client relations, project design notebooks, and documentation for permanent record files.
• Coordinate design and schedules with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical, and equipment supplier teams.
• Document design decisions, meetings, client instructions, and project progress promptly.
• Review project documents for accuracy and completeness prior to final check.
• Assist with preparation and issuance of addendum information.
• Conduct periodic job site observations and perform other services required by the contract services agreement.
• Work within project budgets and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations.
