Job summary

IMEG is hiring an Electrical Engineering Intern for a 10–12 week summer program in Greenwood Village, CO. You will assist in the analysis, design, and implementation oversight of electrical systems in buildings, working with experienced engineers on real project work.

Responsibilities include supporting documentation, coordination, job site observations, and design notebook documentation while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years toward a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent required
• Strong interest in design consulting
• Previous exposure to CAD and/or BIM software
• Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups

Responsibilities

• Assist with engineering analysis, design, and implementation oversight of electrical systems in buildings
• Assist with design portions of projects according to code and IMEG standards
• Research commercially available equipment and resources
• Support client relations, project design notebooks, and documentation for permanent record files
• Coordinate design and schedules with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical, and equipment supplier teams
• Document design decisions, meetings, client instructions, and project progress promptly
• Review project documents for accuracy and completeness prior to final check
• Assist with preparation and issuance of addendum information
• Conduct periodic job site observations and perform other services required by the contract services agreement
• Work within project budgets and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations
