Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking Engineering Interns in Minneapolis, MN. Interns will support standard engineering tasks, assist lead engineers, and contribute to project work across Aviation & Federal and Transmission & Distribution markets.

Responsibilities include data entry, documentation, and presentation tasks, with opportunities to participate in continuous improvement and ad hoc projects. The role requires pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, ABET

Qualifications

• Pursuit of bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary education and/or technical certificate program related to the work.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
• Actively involved in campus, community or other volunteer activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and PowerPoint presentation.
• Assist with responses to general questions.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts by collecting and analyzing data.
• Present solutions to concerns.
• Research solutions to project concerns; analyze and recommend solutions to problems.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
• Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Involvement on campus or in the community preferred.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the country where this position is located.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
