Job summary

Ghafari Associates is seeking a summer intern to work in-office at Dearborn, MI or Birmingham, AL from May to August 2027. You will apply CAD/Revit skills to generate engineering design documents, digital models, and databases, collaborating with engineers during the design phase.

Responsibilities include creating documents with AutoCAD/Revit, coordinating across disciplines, and producing final drawings. Candidates should be pursuing an engineering degree with at least two years of coursework

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master’s degree in an engineering discipline at an accredited university.
Students should have completed at least 2 years of classes.
Proficiency in CAD software and basic design/document creation is expected.

Responsibilities

Create engineering documents using CAD (AutoCAD/Revit).
Work with engineers to understand project scope and design data needs.
Provide limited design input and detail documents with engineers’ input.
Correct and produce final documents for review and ensure coordination across disciplines.
Produce drawings and 3D models as needed and assist with document reproduction.
