Job summary

DLR Group's Electrical Engineering Intern position is part of the EPX program, offering hands-on experience with electrical systems design for diverse buildings alongside licensed engineers. You will participate in design discussions, site visits, and documentation through early concepts to construction documentation.

The paid Summer Internship runs May 18 through August 6, 2027, is full-time, and follows a four-day in-office model with Fridays optional.

Qualifications

• Completed at least one year in an ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering program.
• Experience or interest in BIM workflow (Autodesk Revit MEP).

Responsibilities

• Work with a licensed engineer designing electrical systems for buildings.
• Attend design team meetings and observe coordination among a multi-disciplinary team.
• Assist with design and development of construction documents using Revit.
• Visit an active construction site when possible.
