Job summary

DLR Group is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to join our Southwest region, based in Phoenix, AZ. This paid, full-time internship is part of the Emerging Professional Experience (EPX) program, offering hands-on design exposure across buildings and disciplines.

You'll work with licensed engineers, develop electrical system designs, attend design meetings, and assist with construction documents using Revit.

Qualifications

• Completed at least one year in an ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering program.
• Experience or interest in BIM workflows.
• FE exam passed (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Work with a licensed engineer designing electrical systems for new construction and/or building renovation projects.
• Attend design team meetings with an electrical engineer and observe coordination among multi-disciplinary team members.
• Assist an electrical engineer with the design and development of construction documents primarily using Revit.
• Visit an active construction site (contingent on local project status).
