Job summary

WSP seeks a Technical Director, Electrical Engineer for its San Francisco or Sacramento offices. Lead electrical engineering delivery for transportation sector projects, guiding deliverables, codes compliance, and safety standards.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and mentor staff to meet client goals. The role demands extensive experience, multi-state licensure, and strong leadership to ensure quality and on-time project execution in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Engineer license (multi-state preferred).
• Advanced proficiency with electrical engineering principles, design and permitting.
• Experience in infrastructure planning, design, and program management.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 70- NEC, NFPA 130, NFPA 101.

Responsibilities

• Direct segments of a major project and apply engineering concepts.
• Analyze complex problems and develop new techniques.
• Monitor project progress for technical accuracy, schedule and budget.
• Coordinate with other design disciplines and stakeholders.
• Mentor staff and provide leadership on projects.
• Ensure specifications, reports and analyses meet scope and quality.
