Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Technical Director, Electrical Engineer for our San Francisco or Sacramento CA office. You will lead electrical design and project delivery for large infrastructure programs, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and mentor a team of engineers across disciplines.

Ideal candidates bring 12+ years in electrical infrastructure, PE license, and strong leadership with the ability to manage complex projects, coordinate with architecture, MEP, and civil teams, and deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 12+ years in electrical engineering and infrastructure design for capital projects.
• Engineer license required (multi-state preferred).
• Experience with NFPA 70/NEC and related codes.

Responsibilities

• Direct segments of a major project and apply engineering concepts.
• Monitor progress for technical accuracy, schedule, and budget.
• Lead design tasks with independent judgment and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Mentor staff and provide performance guidance.
• Collaborate with multiple disciplines to deliver trusted advisor solutions.
