Job summary

WSP seeks a Senior Technical Manager, Electrical Engineer in the San Francisco area or a Lead Electrical Engineer in San Francisco or Sacramento, CA. You will be involved with Transportation Sector Mechanical & Electrical teams on projects and be part of a growing organization that meets client objectives.

Major duties include directing project segments, solving complex problems, monitoring progress, and coordinating with diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of post-education experience in electrical design for capital projects.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 70, NEC, NFPA 130 and related regulations.
• Experience with coordinating multiple disciplines and teams.
• Proficiency in technical writing and design software.

Responsibilities

• Direct segments of major projects and apply engineering concepts.
• Analyze complex problems and develop improved techniques.
• Monitor progress for technical accuracy, schedule and budget.
• Provide leadership to engineers and staff across disciplines.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, and design layouts.
• Coordinate with regulators, clients, and subcontractors.
• Ensure safety plans and QA/QC compliance throughout projects.
