Job summary

Sew-Eurodrive, Inc. in Lyman, SC is seeking an engineering student for a hands-on internship in the Lyman Engineering group. The role focuses on improvement projects supporting technical and shop staff at the Lyman assembly plant.

You will work on CAD drafting, data logging and analysis, and develop process improvements while learning SEW products and applications. First shift and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in the United States on an indefinite basis.
• Ability to follow instructions, written and verbal.
• SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD knowledge or equivalent software.
• Ability to organize workload for timely completion.
• Ability to log, analyze and interpret data for process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Document and support engineering projects using Microsoft Office.
• Occasional travel for customer support functions.
• Develop understanding of SEW products and applications.
• Operate 3D printers to produce tools/solutions.
• Troubleshoot and solve problems in a production environment.

About the RoleJob DescriptionCurrently in this position, the student will work in the Lyman, SC facility with the Lyman Engineering group, contributing to improvement projects that support the technical and shop staff of the Lyman assembly plant.Pay Range: $21.29-$22.29/Hr. depending on housing needs.Shift: 1st shiftEducation: Must be currently enrolled in an Engineering Program at a University/CollegeTOP 5 most relevant SKILLS AND ABILITIES being sought for this position:• Must be currently eligible and authorized to work in the United States on an ongoing indefinite basis.• Ability to follow instructions, written and verbal.• Must have good Solid Works and/or AutoCAD knowledge or other software required for the job.• Ability to organize workload for timely accomplishment of work.• Ability to log, analyze and interpret data to develop process improvement proposals.TOP 5+ most relevant ACTUAL TASKS being sought for this position:• Technical communications and the use of Microsoft Office software tools to document/support engineering projects.• Occasional travel for customer support functions.• Develop an understanding of SEW products and their applications.• Operate 3D printers to produce examples of tools/solutions.• Troubleshooting and problem solving in a production environment.• CAD drafting (SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD) for special parts design or shop tools and layouts.• Additional job responsibilitiesAlthough we have described above what we are generally looking for, we are very likely missing other attributes and skills that may make you a great fit!
