Job summary

SEW-EURODRIVE - USA in Lyman, SC is seeking a student engineer to join the Lyman Engineering group. You will contribute to improvement projects supporting technical and shop staff in the assembly plant, with an hourly pay range of $21.29-$22.29 and 1st shift.

Current enrollment in an engineering program is required. Responsibilities include documenting projects, CAD drafting (SolidWorks/AutoCAD), operating 3D printers, and analyzing data to propose process improvements.

Qualifications

• Must be currently eligible and authorized to work in the United States on an ongoing indefinite basis.
• Ability to follow instructions, written and verbal.
• SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD knowledge or other software required for the job.
• Ability to organize workload for timely accomplishment of work.
• Ability to log, analyze and interpret data to develop process improvement proposals.

Responsibilities

• Technical communications and the use of Microsoft Office software tools to document/support engineering projects.
• Occasional travel for customer support functions.
• Develop an understanding of SEW products and their applications.
• Operate 3D printers to produce examples of tools/solutions.
• Troubleshooting and problem solving in a production environment.
• CAD drafting (SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD) for special parts design or shop tools and layouts.

About The Role

Currently in this position, the student will work in the Lyman, SC facility with the Lyman Engineering group, contributing to improvement projects that support the technical and shop staff of the Lyman assembly plant.

Pay Range: $21.29-$22.29/Hr. depending on housing needs.

Shift: 1st shift

Education: Must be currently enrolled in an Engineering Program at a University/College

A 10% shift premium is paid for 2nd and 3rd shift positions.
