Job summary

1X is building humanoid robots for home use, shipping NEO and related hardware. The Electrical Engineer will own critical subsystems from architecture to production, ensuring performance, safety, and cost targets across development and manufacturing stages.

We seek a candidate with 5+ years in electrical design, strong analog/digital fundamentals, and hands-on lab experience to help scale hardware for real-world deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years designing and shipping complex electrical systems.
• Strong fundamentals in analog and digital circuit design.
• Experience designing hardware from schematic to PCB bring-up.
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver electrical subsystems powering NEO.
• Own hardware subsystems from architecture to production.
• Ensure performance, reliability, safety, manufacturability, and cost.
• Bridge concept to deployment with key technical decisions.
• Collaborate with firmware, controls, mechanical, and manufacturing teams.
