Job summary

1X is seeking an experienced hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to scale electromechanical production for home humanoid systems. You will own processes from prototype to production ramp, develop fixtures and test systems, and drive data-driven improvements on yield, cycle time, and cost.

You will influence design for manufacturability to mitigate risk early. You’ll work in a fast-paced team with a focus on reliability, repeatability, and scalable production readiness, on-site in a modern

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
5+ years with a Bachelor’s or 3+ years with a Master’s degree.
Hands-on PCBAs, wire harnesses, mechanical assembly, hardware bring-up, and testing.
Proficiency with electrical debug tools, CAD, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and statistical process qualification.
Demonstrated structured problem solving and effective collaboration across design, quality, test, automation, and production teams.

Responsibilities

Own electromechanical manufacturing processes from prototype through production ramp.
Develop robust fixtures, tooling, assembly methods, and production stations.
Improve first-pass yield, process capability, cycle time, OEE, and cost through data-driven root cause and corrective action.
Design and qualify end-of-line test systems and data capture.
Influence product design through DFM, DFA, and DFT to eliminate manufacturing and test risk early.
