Job summary

N3B seeks an Electrical Engineer 3/4 to support the design team in Los Alamos, NM, combining on-site and office tasks. You will help design and size transformers, power panels, and VFDs, creating layouts, one-lines, and wiring diagrams for industrial power systems.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited) with 5 years experience for Level 3 or 9 years for Level 4, plus NEC knowledge, safety discipline, and the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Electrical Engineering required.
• 5+ years experience for Level 3; 9+ years for Level 4.
• Experience with load flow, short circuit analysis, arc flash is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support field investigations and data collection; prepare drawings and visual aids.
• Perform electrical design modeling for safe, reliable power systems.
• Apply techniques per established criteria to assigned tasks.
• Familiarity with protection functions in industrial low-voltage systems.
• Assist in plan production, layouts, and one-line diagrams for lighting/power/telecom.
• Learn and use SKM system analysis software.
• Select electrical equipment to meet system requirements; contribute to reports.
• Work under guidance of senior engineers.
