Job summary

N3B Los Alamos is seeking an Electrical Engineer I/II to support the design team in delivering projects. The role involves on-site and office duties, applying NEC standards to industrial electrical systems, and contributing to the design and documentation of power, control, and telecommunications systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 5+ years of relevant experience for Level 3 or 9+ years for Level 4.
• Experience with load flow, short circuit analysis, and arc flash hazards analysis software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support field investigations or assessments and collect data.
• Perform electrical design modeling for safe, reliable power systems.
• Develop system layouts, one-lines, wiring diagrams and equipment specs.
• Familiarity with protection functions in industrial power systems (low voltage).
• Assist in plan production, system details, and lighting/power/telecom designs.
• Learn and use SKM system analysis software.
