About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design, install, and maintain electrical systems and equipment for mining operations, including substations, distribution networks, and machinery.


• Perform electrical system troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs to minimize downtime.


• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of electrical installations to ensure compliance with mining regulations and company policies.


• Develop and review electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.


• Manage electrical aspects of mining projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.


• Collaborate with site personnel to understand operational needs and provide effective electrical solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.


• Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in industrial electrical engineering, preferably within the mining sector.


• Strong understanding of high and medium voltage power distribution systems, motor control, and industrial automation.


• Knowledge of mining-specific electrical equipment and safety protocols is advantageous.


• Experience with relevant electrical design and analysis software.

• Registered or eligible for registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer or Technologist.
