Job summary

Olin is seeking an Electrical Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 in Independence, MO. The role focuses on maintenance, reliability, and design of electrical/instrumentation systems to ensure safe, efficient operations.

You will participate in small capital projects, including justification, purchasing, and installation. Qualifications include being an undergraduate EE student with at least a 3.0 GPA, completed sophomore year, and availability for full-time work during the rotation.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited college and majoring in an undergraduate Electrical Engineering degree program.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale at all times; transcript required each term.
• Experience in ammunition and firearms industry is preferred.
• Must have completed sophomore year (60 credits) prior to first rotation.
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) during rotation; not eligible for virtual work.
• U.S. citizen; ITAR access and export control vetting required; sponsoring not provided.

Responsibilities

• Lead a minimum of three hands-on projects during the rotation.
• Provide reliability leadership for instruments and electrical systems; troubleshoot and analyze data.
• Support maintenance in developing preventative and predictive maintenance policies.
• Identify and implement process improvements in small caliber ammunition production.
