Job summary

CMTA, a Legence Company, is seeking a motivated co-op in electrical design to gain hands-on experience on building systems. You will work with engineers to learn design and implementation of electrical infrastructure and energy efficiency measures in real CMTA projects.

This internship offers mentoring from licensed PEs and exposure to AutoCAD and Revit in a collaborative environment. Ideal candidates are pursuing Electrical or Architectural Engineering degrees, preferably sophomores or juniors,

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering, preferably a sophomore or junior.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• AutoCAD and REVIT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn and implement electrical system basics such as power distribution, lighting controls, and fire alarm systems for new constructions and renovations.
• Produce detailed layouts and equipment drawings of electrical systems for buildings.
• Create one-line diagrams and schematics.
• Assist in assembling organized drawing sets for projects.
• Collaborate with designers and engineers to develop all project aspects.
• May assist with data collection and field verification.
