Job summary

KFI Engineers is seeking an Electrical Engineer III for our IPA group to lead technical delivery on industrial, process and agribusiness projects in Cincinnati, OH. You will deliver electrical design across building systems and power distribution, ensuring commissionable results for clients and alignment with NEC/NFPA/NESC/IEEE standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years’ electrical engineering experience following graduation.
• Professional Engineering (PE) certification or willingness to pursue this designation.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the design of power distribution systems, motor feeders, and motor starters/drives.
• Supports design of general power, HVAC, lighting systems, grounding, emergency backup generator, UPS.
• Evaluate power distribution systems and design expansions/additions.
• Perform voltage drop and short-circuit calculations; arc fault analysis using SKM or similar tool.
• Prepare engineering documents and equipment specifications; ensure electrical engineering principles are applied.
• Coordinate work with other departments, project teams and contractors.
• Other duties as assigned.
