Job summary

KFI Engineers is seeking a Process Engineer III to lead industrial, process and agribusiness projects from Cincinnati, OH. The role focuses on delivering high-quality engineering solutions, coordinating with stakeholders, and supporting business development through technical input.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in process engineering, strong knowledge of process modeling, and experience with process safety evaluations. Willingness to travel up to 25% and collaborate across teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 7+ years of process engineering experience in relevant sectors.
• US work authorization without sponsorship.
• Strong proficiency in process and utility system design.
• Experience with process modeling and equipment sizing.
• Proficiency with CHEMCAD and hydraulic analysis tools.
• Field experience supporting design validation and installations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee engineering documents, specs and deliverables.
• Perform and review mass/energy balances and equipment sizing.
• Develop PFDs, P&IDs, control schematics and process documentation.
• Conduct field verifications and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Coordinate activities with other engineering disciplines and project team members.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and review work.
