Job summary

KFI Engineers is seeking a Process Engineer III to lead technical discussions, develop process documentation, and coordinate cross‑disciplinary teams on industrial projects in the US. You will apply mass/energy balances, perform hydraulic analyses, and guide junior engineers while maintaining strong client communication.

The role involves field verification, design optimization, and potential involvement in business development activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelors' degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7+ years of process engineering experience in industrial environments.
• Authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis without sponsorship.
• Proficiency in process and utility system design, modeling, mass/energy balances, sizing.
• Strong skills in process simulation software (ChemCAD or equivalent).
• Proficient in hydraulic analysis tools (AFT Fathom/Arrow).
• Field experience supporting design validation and plant operations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee engineering documents, equipment specs, and deliverables.
• Perform complex calculations: mass/energy balances, sizing, hydraulic analyses.
• Develop PFDs, P&IDs, control schematics; integrate vendor processes.
• Conduct field investigations to verify conditions and layouts.
• Coordinate activities with other disciplines and project teams.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
• Support estimating, project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
• Assist with RFIs, submittals, and site visits during construction.
• Support commissioning and startup activities for operational performance.
• Contribute to proposals and engage in customer calls as needed.
