Job summary

KFI Engineers seeks an Electrical Engineer III in our Manufacturing group to lead design and delivery of electrical systems for facility projects. This role emphasizes customer satisfaction, clear communication, and cross-functional collaboration with Designers, Engineers, and Project Managers.

You will support business development by writing proposals and meeting with clients. Requires PE or pursuing, 8+ years, proficiency in Revit/AutoCAD, and knowledge of NEC, NFPA, NESC, etc.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Minimum of 8 years of electrical engineering experience after graduation.
• PE certification or willingness to pursue this designation.
• Project experience and knowledge of electrical design for building projects.
• Knowledge in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Strong electrical design expertise across various industries.
• Understanding of NEC, NFPA, NESC, ANSI/IEEE, etc.
• Travel up to 25% domestically.

Responsibilities

• Assist design of power distribution systems and motor feeders.
• Design building power and lighting systems, including emergency systems.
• Prepare engineering documents and equipment specifications.
• Perform voltage drop and short-circuit calculations; arc fault analysis.
• Coordinate work with other departments, project team members, and contractors.
• Support business development through proposals and client meetings.
