Job summary

KFI Engineers is seeking an Electrical Engineer III to lead electrical design for manufacturing projects. You will shape power distribution, lighting, and critical systems, while ensuring compliance with NEC, NFPA, and other codes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis without sponsorship.
Minimum of 8 years’ electrical engineering experience after graduation.
PE certification or willingness to pursue this designation.
Project experience and knowledge of electrical design for building projects.
Knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

Assists with design of power distribution systems (primary requirement), sizing motor feeders and starters.
Supports design of building power and lighting systems including ground fault, lightning protection, and UPS.
Prepares engineering documents and equipment specifications to meet contracted scope.
Performs voltage drop and short-circuit calculations; conducts arc fault analysis.
Coordinates work with other departments, project teams and contractors.
Other duties as assigned.
