Job summary

Sargent & Lundy’s Nuclear Power Group is seeking an Electrical Engineer 1 to design and modernize electrical systems for existing plants and new reactor projects, with opportunities to support life extensions and digital upgrades.

You will work under senior engineers, utilize ETAP for power-system analysis, and pursue licensure as a Professional Engineer while gaining broad exposure to client interfaces and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with power concepts/power systems analysis
• Strong practical understanding of EE design to project s
• MS Office proficiency
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Team collaboration and adaptability

Responsibilities

• Assist in engineering calculations and design tasks for large nuclear power stations (protection/coordination, cable sizing, MV/LV design)
• Use ETAP for power systems analysis and modeling
• Assist with selection/integration of major electrical equipment (switchgear, MCCs, transformers, breakers, relays)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and interface with client stakeholders
• Gain exposure to plant procedures and support project deliverables
