Job summary

DLR Group in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design electrical systems from schematics through construction administration on diverse building types. You will work within integrated design teams to create spaces that elevate the human experience through thoughtful electrical design.

The role requires a PE license, a bachelor's in Electrical or Architectural Engineering, and 6+ years' experience in power and lighting design for complex projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer.
• 6+ years’ experience designing power and lighting building systems on complex projects.
• Experience with BIM, specifically Revit MEP.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing project objectives, goals, and documentation policies.
• Develop electrical designs from concept through completion of construction.
• Prepare engineering design calculations and layouts.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports and narratives.
• Coordinate electrical design requirements with architecture, mechanical, and other disciplines.
• Perform site investigation surveys and punch list reviews.
• Provide electrical engineering design expertise on large, complex projects.
• Lead project teams and manage team workloads.
• Mentor emerging professional engineers.
