Job summary
DLR Group in Chicago, IL is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer responsible for the design of electrical systems from concept to construction administration across a range of building types. You will deliver drawings, calculations, and narratives and coordinate with architecture, mechanical, and other disciplines.
The successful candidate will lead project teams, mentor engineers, and contribute to sustainable design goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering.
- Licensed Professional Engineer.
- 7+ years’ experience designing power and lighting building systems on complex projects.
- Experience with consulting engineering or A/E firms on commercial, educational, sports, workplace, or civic projects.
- Experience with BIM, specifically Revit MEP.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing project objectives, goals, and documentation policies.
- Develop electrical designs from concept through construction.
- Prepare engineering design calculations and layouts.
- Prepare detailed reports and narratives.
- Coordinate electrical design with architecture, mechanical, and other disciplines.
- Lead project teams and manage workloads.
- Mentor emerging professional engineers.
