Job summary

DLR Group is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design electrical systems from schematics through construction administration across a range of building types. You will collaborate with integrated design teams to develop power and lighting solutions and produce detailed drawings and calculations.

The ideal candidate has a PE license, 10+ years in electrical design for complex projects, BIM/Revit MEP experience, and the ability to lead project teams and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer.
• 10+ years' experience as an Electrical Engineer designing power and lighting building systems on complex projects.
• Experience with consulting engineering or A/E firm as an electrical engineer designing power, lighting, and low voltage systems for Commercial, Educational, Sports, Workplace, or Civic projects.
• Experience with BIM, specifically Revit MEP.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing project objectives, goals, and documentation policies.
• Develop electrical designs from concept through completion of construction.
• Prepare engineering design calculations and layouts.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports and narratives.
• Coordinate electrical design requirements with architecture, mechanical, and other disciplines.
• Perform site investigation surveys and punch list reviews.
• Provide electrical engineering design expertise on large, complex projects.
• Lead project teams and manage team workloads.
• Mentor emerging professional engineers.
