Job summary

CMTA, a Legence Company, offers a hands-on co-op opportunity in electrical design for students in Electrical or Architectural Engineering. You’ll work with our design team on electrical systems, power distribution, and energy efficiency in building projects.

This full-time on-site co-op runs May 2027 through Summer 2027 with potential for future employment after graduation. Travel to local job sites may be required; strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or architectural engineering, preferably sophomore or junior.
• Strong interest in Building Systems Electrical Engineering.
• AutoCAD and REVIT experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Learn and implement electrical system basics (power, distribution, lighting, fire alarm) for new and renovation projects.
• Produce detailed layout and equipment details of electrical systems.
• Create one-line diagrams/schematics.
• Assist in assembling organized drawing sets.
• Contribute to data collection and field verification as needed.
• Collaborate with designers and engineers on project development.
