Job summary

Olin is seeking an Electrical Engineer Co-Op for Fall 2027 in Freeport, TX. The position offers a $30.00 per hour wage and a housing stipend. The role emphasizes reliability, design, and maintenance of instrumentation and electrical systems to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Responsibilities include leading multiple hands-on projects, improving plant instrumentation, and supporting preventative maintenance policies during the rotation. A GPA of 3.0+ and full-time availability are required.

Qualifications

Enrolled in accredited college/university majoring in Electrical Engineering.
GPA 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale; transcript required.
Sophomore year completed (60 credits) before first rotation.
Able to work 40 hours per week during rotation; no virtual work allowed.
Must obtain TWIC and possess a valid US driver's license.

Responsibilities

Lead a minimum of three hands-on projects during the rotation.
Provide reliability leadership for instruments, valves, and electrical systems; troubleshoot and analyze data.
Support maintenance in developing policies for preventative and predictive maintenance.
Participate in plant turnarounds and update P&IDs; contribute to continuous improvement.
