Job summary

Olin is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Co-Op for Spring 2027 with opportunities in Freeport, TX and other locations. The role focuses on supporting maintenance, reliability, and design for safe, efficient operations within a multi-site environment.

The candidate must be enrolled in an undergrad Mechanical Engineering program, maintain a 3.0+ GPA, have completed sophomore year, and be able to work full-time during rotations. A TWIC and US driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing an undergraduate Mechanical Engineering degree.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale at all times during the program; transcript required.
• Must have completed sophomore year (or 60 credits) prior to first rotation.
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) during rotation; no virtual work.

Responsibilities

• Lead a minimum of three hands-on projects during the rotation.
• Provide reliability leadership for rotating and fixed equipment (pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, piping).
• Support maintenance in developing preventative and predictive maintenance policies and procedures.
• Participate in plant turnarounds and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
