Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Minneapolis, MN is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join project teams and deliver world-class designs for power, process, and industrial facilities. You will design from concept through design completion and adapt drawings to budget, design factors or client needs.

The role requires ABET- accredited degree, 3 years of experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and rendering tools.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree required or FE/EIT with related degree.
• 3 years of electrical engineering experience, consulting preferred.
• Master's degree may substitute for 1 year experience.
• Strong knowledge of standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical design from concept through design completion.
• Modify and review production drawings for a variety of facilities.
• Design electrical components per project requirements.
• Apply electrical engineering concepts, codes, and procedures.
• Update drawings in CAD software and collect project data.
• Compile information for client presentations and contract administration.
• Conduct field inspections and measurements for clients.
