Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in drafting technology or related field or 13+ years related experience.
• Associate Degree with 14+ years related experience.
• 15 years progressive detailing and design experience.
• Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) strongly preferred.
• Expert understanding of AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Excel.
• Expert ability to utilize 2D and 3D applications for engineering drawings.
• Expert knowledge in design, calculations and design systems.
• Broad knowledge of discipline integration and related software.
• Excellent written & verbal communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical project designs including schematics, grid layouts, power and lighting systems.
• Lead drawing, planning, development and production including calculations on complex tasks.
• Lead assignments using prescribed methods and refine sketches.
• QA/QC: evaluate designs, redlines, and ensure quality of project drawings.
• Approve reports, drawings, and tests to meet deliverables.
• Approve design codes and specifications.
• Lead production of design drawings within scope, budget, and schedule.
• Compute conduit, grounding layouts, equipment and panel wiring diagrams.
• Incorporate budgets, schedules and project criteria into electrical design.
• Ensure logical, well-structured project documentation and revisions.
• Train and mentor less experienced staff.
• Participate in marketing and client development meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned and comply with policies.
