Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join project teams delivering world class designs for power, process, healthcare, airports, institutional, industrial and government facilities. You will participate from concept through construction, adjusting mechanical plans to budget and client needs.

Responsibilities include creating designs, updating CAD drawings (AutoCAD, BIM Revit), performing field inspections, compiling data for client presentations and contract administration, and

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• FE exam completed or in process; professional licensure preferred.
• 3+ years mechanical engineering experience, consulting preferred.
• Strong communication and analytical skills; detailed oriented.
• Proficiency with CAD/BIM tools and engineering analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems from concept to design completion.
• Update drawings in AutoCAD and BIM (Revit) as required.
• Perform field inspections and measurements for projects.
• Compile data for client presentations and contract administration.
• Support project managers with budgeting considerations and problem solving.
