Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer to join project teams working on power, process, healthcare, pipelines, airports and government facilities. You will design electrical systems from concept through design completion and update CAD drawings.

Required ABET-accredited degree with 3 years’ experience (FE path or EIT acceptable); Master’s degree with 2+ years is a plus. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and 2D/3D rendering tools is essential. Some travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited program with 3+ years of electrical engineering experience.
• FE exam completed or EIT/engineer-in-training.
• Master's degree preferred with 2+ years of experience.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical design from concept through design completion.
• Review and modify drawings for diverse facilities.
• Design electrical components per project requirements.
• Apply standard engineering practices and codes.
• Research data and support client presentations and contract administration.
• Conduct field inspections and measurements.
