Job summary

iTerra Solutions LLC seeks an Electrical Engineering & Embedded Systems Intern to contribute to hardware in a compact, field-ready team. You will own power budgets, perform bring-up, and integrate Jetson carrier boards with SDRs, LNAs, and sensors, both in the lab and out on site.

In this early-career role, you will gain hands-on experience in Linux, embedded engineering, and field deployments while reporting to the CTO in Hatillo, Puerto Rico.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or holding a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Hands-on electrical projects: board, power supply, robot, drone, or instrumented project.
• Circuit fundamentals: DC/AC, regulation, grounding, decoupling.
• Bench hands: oscilloscope, multimeter, bench supply, soldering iron.
• Embedded comfort: microcontroller or single-board computer work, Python or C.
• Linux comfort: shell, ssh, git; headless work.
• Willing to be outside: field days are part of this seat.
• Juvempleo eligibility: ages 18-29, Puerto Rico resident, U.S. citizen, GPA 2.00.
• Onsite in Hatillo, Puerto Rico, and in the field, outdoors, carrying gear.

Responsibilities

• Power distribution and budget for subsystems, from source to boards.
• Field power sizing, charging, solar, and runtime under real load.
• Bring-up and integration of Jetson carrier, SDR boards, LNAs, cameras.
• Harnessing and connectors selection, phase-matched lengths, field harness.
• Noise and interference measurement and reporting.
• Bench instrumentation procedures and repeatable tests.
• Field support on range and in the field with gear.
• Documentation: wiring diagrams, pinouts, power budgets, bring-up procedures.
