Job summary

Auterion is seeking an enthusiastic Electronics Engineering Intern to gain hands-on experience across the development cycle—from schematic and PCB design to prototyping, testing, debugging, and documentation. You will work with senior engineers on firmware for microcontrollers and embedded systems, using lab equipment to validate designs.

The role emphasizes hands-on learning, collaboration, and safety in the lab, with flexible hours and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.
• Understanding of analog and digital circuit design.
• Familiarity with PCB design tools (Altium, KiCad, Eagle).
• Hands-on electronics lab experience and basic soldering.
• Programming in C, C++, Python or similar.
• Familiarity with microcontrollers (STM32/ESP32/Arduino).
• Knowledge of I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, USB is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
• Hands-on university or hobby electronics projects valued.
• EU citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, and debug prototype circuits and PCB assemblies.
• Assist with schematic capture and PCB design.
• Use lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, signal generators) for testing.
• Support soldering, rework, and lab activities.
• Develop and test firmware for microcontrollers and embedded systems.
• Analyse test results and document designs and progress.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to troubleshoot issues and improve hardware performance.
• Follow safety procedures.
