Job summary

Neuralink is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to contribute to the design, verification and production transition of custom electronics systems. You will participate in board design, motor drivers, camera hardware, and FPGA-based OCT data acquisition, while supporting testing and manufacturing activities.

You will work with an integrated team across electrical, optical, mechanical and software engineers to deliver safe, scalable solutions for next‑gen neural interfaces.

Qualifications

• Experience developing circuits or products used by real customers.
• Design experience in HDI, high-speed digital, RF or related areas.
• Familiarity with sensors, power management, and SI basics.
• Proficient with SPI/UART/I2C and related protocols.
• Competent with essential lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies).

Responsibilities

• All phases of board design including schematic, layout, and bring-up.
• Develop custom motor drivers and control loop elements.
• Create high-bandwidth camera hardware and firmware.
• Work on FPGA-based OCT data acquisition systems.
• Test hardware with HIL, validation boards, and life-cycle rigs.
• Explore system architectures for future compute and actuator designs.
