Job summary

TechServ is seeking an entry-level Engineering Technician/Designer for our Electrical Distribution team in Fort Worth, TX. You will undergo 2–3 weeks of hands-on training and gain industry certifications while learning the client’s CAD software.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in Drafting/Design Technology preferred.
• Microsoft Office proficiency, especially Excel, is required.

Responsibilities

• Use CAD software for client projects, including newbuilds/alterations/redevelopments.
• Execute electrical design tasks using distribution standard drawings and NES procedures.
• Incorporate design changes and redlines into current designs.
• Analyze reports, drawings, and tests to plan and design projects.
• Ensure designs comply with codes and specifications.
• Review drawings for quality, scope, budget, and schedule.
• Perform tasks within budgeted hours and deadlines.
• Collaborate with leaders and team members to improve processes.
• Set up projects in project management systems and maintain data accuracy.
• Travel to regional job sites as needed (about 20%).
