David Evans and Associates, Inc. is hiring an Electrical Distribution Designer in Wisconsin to craft safe, practical designs for new and upgraded distribution systems.

The role collaborates with managers, engineers, field personnel, and permitting bodies to ensure constructible results and compliance with standards. The ideal candidate has strong distribution knowledge, excellent communication, and proficiency in design software.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems and utility construction.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, MicroStation, or other Design Software.
• Strong ownership, written and oral communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to make decisions with guidance in accordance with established policies.

Responsibilities

• Design projects for electrical utility systems with detailed drawings, specs, staking, site walk-downs, BOMs, and cost estimates.
• Collaborate across surveying, environmental, permitting, PM, and engineering teams.
• Perform electrical system modeling and write reports.
• Ensure facilities meet NEC, NESC, and utility standards.
• Develop the project approach and work plan, and manage team/client communications.
• Maintain QA/QC and travel as required.
