Job summary

David Evans and Associates, Inc. (DEA) is seeking an Electrical Distribution Designer to support safe, practical designs for new installations, replacements, relocations, and system improvements across Wisconsin.

You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, field personnel, utility representatives, and permitting agencies. The role requires strong knowledge of distribution design, NEC/NESC/RUS compliance, and effective communication.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems and utility construction.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, MicroStation, or other Design Software.
• Strong ownership, written and oral communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to make decisions with guidance per policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Exemplify DEA’s Cultural Drivers internally and externally.
• Design projects for distribution systems with detailed drawings, specs, staking, site walks, BOM, and cost estimates.
• Collaborate with team members across disciplines including surveying, environmental, permitting, project management, and engineering.
• Perform electrical system modeling and analysis; prepare written reports.
