David Evans and Associates, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Designer, Distribution to join its Energy Transmission Practice in Bellevue, Everett, Seattle, or Woodinville, WA. You will support overhead and underground distribution projects for utility clients under experienced engineers and designers.

The role targets early-career professionals, offering mentorship, hands-on project experience, and opportunities to advance in power delivery and infrastructure design.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of professional experience in electric utility, power delivery, or electrical distribution projects.
• Experience preparing engineering plans, drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Working knowledge of overhead and underground electric distribution systems.
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals and design practices.
• Interest in developing a career in this field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel periodically for field assignments and client meetings.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design and development of overhead and underground electric distribution systems.
• Prepare engineering plans, drawings, specifications, and supporting project documentation.
• Perform engineering calculations and quantity takeoffs.
• Support field investigations, site visits, and data collection activities.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, designers, and utility clients to deliver high-quality project solutions.
• Assist in maintaining project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Develop technical expertise through mentorship, training, and hands-on project experience.
