Job summary

David Evans and Associates, Inc. seeks an Electrical Distribution Designer for our Transmission Practice in Green Bay, WI.

The role is remote-friendly and supports projects within the Wisconsin Public Service territory, with opportunities to work from home while onboarding in person at a DEA office. You will prepare safe, constructible designs for new installations and replacements, collaborating with managers, engineers, field staff, and contractors while applying NEC/NESC standards.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems and utility construction.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, MicroStation, or other design software.
• Strong ownership, written and oral communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to make decisions with guidance per policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Exemplify DEA’s Cultural Drivers internally and externally.
• Design projects including drawings, specifications, staking, site walk-downs, BOMs, and cost estimates for distribution systems.
• Collaborate with team members across disciplines and with stakeholders.
• Perform electrical system modeling and analysis; prepare reports.
• Ensure designs meet NEC, NESC, RUS and utility standards.
• Develop project approach and work plans.
• Manage communications among project team and client.
• Maintain technical quality and QA/QC of work.
• Some travel for project execution may be required.
