Job summary

Quality Technology Services, LLC seeks an Development Program Manager - Electrical SME to lead electrical design standards, system architecture, equipment strategy, and issue resolution across mission-critical development projects in Irving, TX. The role requires strong communication, collaboration with facilities, design, procurement, and operations teams, and travel up to 25%.

PE license preferred but not required, with extensive experience in data-center or mission-critical facilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 8–10 years in electrical design engineering, construction, commissioning, or maintenance of mission-critical facilities.
• 4–8 years leading mission-critical design, implementation, or technical programs.
• Experience with power system design, short-circuit analysis, protective coordination, and arc-flash analysis.
• Experience applying NEC and local codes; proficient with Office for executive updates and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Electrical SME and technical authority across multiple development projects.
• Review electrical drawings, specs, calculations, studies, and equipment for standard conformance.
• Drive standards, quality, scalability, maintainability, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with design teams to ensure compliance with codes and AHJ requirements.
• Define project requirements, evaluate deviations, and communicate technical direction to teams.
• Support Construction, Commissioning, and Risk Management in RFIs and design issues.
• Collaborate on equipment strategy with Strategic Procurement and review OFCI submittals.
• Develop and review short-circuit, coordination, and arc-flash studies.
• Evaluate energy systems including utility service, substations, UPS, and switchgear.
• Prepare program updates and milestones for executive review.
• Mentor engineers and project teams; provide technical guidance.
