Job summary

QTS Data Centers in Chicago, IL is seeking an Development Project Manager – Electrical SME to provide technical guidance on electrical design and construction for critical data center projects. You will coordinate with facilities, contractors, vendors and design teams to ensure code compliance and design intent.

The role requires 5+ years in electrical design/construction, strong leadership, and the ability to manage multiple projects with 25% travel. A PE license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent with related experience.
• 5+ years of design engineering or construction experience in electrical systems.
• 2+ years applying NEC and electrical industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings to ensure adherence to design standards and codes.
• Collaborate with design teams to meet local AHJ requirements.
• Define project scope and communicate requirements to design team.
• Support procurement and review equipment submittals for compliance.
• Lead or assist with SCCAF studies and arc flash analyses.
• Travel up to 25% as needed.
