Job summary

Quality Technology Services, LLC (QTS) seeks a Development Project Manager – Electrical SME to lead electrical design, coordination, and issue resolution on data-center projects. You will interface with facilities, contractors, designers, engineers, commissioning agents, vendors, and Data Center Operations on a daily basis.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, 5+ years in design/construction, NEC knowledge, and experience with short circuit, coordination, and arc

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent with 3+ years in electrical design engineering or construction.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in design/engineering or construction, covering electrical power systems, redundancy, short circuit, coordination, and arc flash analysis.
• 2+ years of experience applying local codes, NEC requirements, and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Review drawing packages to ensure adherence to design standards.
• Collaborate with design teams to meet standards, local codes, and AHJ requirements.
• Define project scope with stakeholders and communicate with the design team.
• Coordinate with construction, commissioning, and risk management on RFIs and VE queries.
• Review OFCI equipment submittals for compliance with design criteria.
• Support project teams in resolving design issues during construction and commissioning.
• Collaborate with procurement on equipment procurement.
• Develop and review SCCAF studies for design standard adherence.
• Travel up to 25%.
