Job summary

QTS Realty Trust is seeking an Development Program Manager - Electrical SME to act as the technical authority for electrical systems across multiple mission‑critical development projects in Irving, TX. You will lead electrical design standards, system architecture, equipment strategy, and ensure constructability throughout design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and turnover.

Qualifications

• BS/BE in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 8–10 years in electrical design, construction, or maintenance for mission-critical facilities.
• 4–8 years leading design/technical programs.
• Experience with NEC and local codes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Electrical SME and technical authority across multiple development projects.
• Review drawings, specs, calculations for standards adherence.
• Drive standards, quality, and consistency across the portfolio.
• Collaborate with design teams to ensure code compliance with AHJs.
• Define project requirements and communicate direction to teams.
• Support construction, commissioning, and risk management during projects.
• Review OFCI equipment submittals for design conformity.
• Develop short‑circuit, coordination, arc‑flash analyses with consultants.
• Evaluate power distribution systems and major equipment.
